Miracles Happen In The Storm

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Life is not void of its own Challenges and this implies that even as believers are not exempt from life’s challenges. While Christ was alive he faced many of such challenges you and I face today, trials, hunger, pain and sorrow. But one thing that we saw all through the life of Christ was that even despite all these things he kept going in the will of the father. There was a point during Christ’s suffering in Matthew 26:39 “And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” The pain was there but Christ placed God’s will above it.

The reason why some believers don’t achieve what God has Purposed at the level we should is because we are waiting for convenience or waiting for the storm to pass before we do what God is laying in our hearts, we forget that miracles happen in the storm, peter would never have walked on water if there was no storm, there would be no resurrection if Jesus wasn’t crucified, when the disciples were being persecuted, they fled to other Cities and Nations and continued preaching the Gosple, this led to the spread of the Gospel, they would have faced challenges like accommodation, finance and discrimination in the new places they fled to, but they kept on preaching the Gospel and God did a lot through them. God is not absent in our troubles.

Moments of our struggles are usually key moments that refine us and define our place in God’s calling for our lives. Our ability to still listen to Jesus in the storm is what sets us apart as a disciple, just as it set Peter apart. It is better to jump into the water when Christ says so, than to sit in the boat seeking safety. With Christ you can never sink. Let us determine to follow God and do his will in all circumstances. So we can say like Apostle Paul in Phillipians 4:12-13 “12 I know how to [d]be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Keep trusting and following God’s leading in that situation or challenge, Miracles happen in the storm !

Enjoy the rest of your week family
